What does RAAC mean to residents.:
This is a scary time for those homeowners.
The possible worst case scenario is the loss off the whole community with compulsory purchase orders at a very low price and demolition of many hundreds of our homes..
We have worked hard to make our houses our homes and build our communities. Can you spare time we need help to spread the word and take on some committee responsibilities

"Homeowners and tenants affected by the defective concrete crisis are stepping up their fight for financial help from both Dundee City Council and Holyrood."
‼️"They will protest in City Square 11am on Saturday before hosting a meeting on March 28 where residents will be able to put questions directly to local MSPs and candidates from Labour, Scottish Greens and Liberal Democrats."‼️
‼️"That meeting will be held Drumgeith Community Campus in Whitfield from 2pm to 4pm."‼️ Saturday 28th March.‼️
Community meeting for all across Dundee & Monifieth living in homes or property with RAAC are welcome to attend.
We will have advice, communication & recent information for residents at hand.
A few quotes below from today's RAAC story by Séan O'Neil at The Courier UK
“The meeting will provide residents with an opportunity to speak directly to politicians about the serious challenges facing homeowners and tenants living in homes constructed with Raac,” said Yvette Hoskins, vice-chair of the Dundee Raac Campaign Group."
“Residents living in Raac homes are dealing with uncertainty about the future of their homes."
“The structural and overwhelming financial uncertainty and burden associated with this material has left many residents and families living with prolonged anxiety, sleep deprivation, depression, escalating stress and mental health impact. "THROUGH NO FAULT OF THEIR OWN"
"Residents are experiencing falling property values, difficulties obtaining insurance, mortgages, along with the prospect of being unable to sell or move on with their lives,” Yvette told The Courier."
“For many, their home – traditionally their most secure asset and in many cases their only financial asset has become a source of fear and distress through no fault of their own.”

How the information was collected:
The Scottish Housing Regulator (SHR) wrote to all social landlords asking for comprehensive information on the presence of RAAC. They have been publishing updates on the data collected as part of a cross-sector working group. Due to the ongoing nature of surveys, the list of affected landlords may continue to change.
